Safe operating rules for wood cutting machines
The safe operation procedure of wood cutting machine is the key to ensure the safety of operators, the normal operation of equipment and the smooth progress of production. The following is a detailed set of safety procedures:
First, preparation before use
Equipment inspection:
Make sure the wood cutter is in good working condition and check that the power cord, cutting blade and protection device are intact.
Check whether the power supply and voltage are consistent with the voltage specified on the nameplate, and whether the wiring is firm and correct.
Measure the insulation resistance of all live parts to the metal housing to ensure that it should not be less than 0.5 megohm.
Environmental preparation:
Ensure that the operating environment is dry and well-ventilated, and remove debris and grease from the surrounding area to prevent fire or slip accidents.
There should be sufficient lighting brightness when working at night.
Personal Protection:
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, protective face masks, ear muffs, and appropriate overalls. Work clothes should not be too loose, should not wear jewelry or long hair, cuffs should be buttoned.
Operation training:
Ensure that the operator is trained and has the skills to operate the wood cutter.
Second, the operation process
Material placement:
The wood to be cut is properly placed on the cutting machine working platform, and ensure that it is firmly fixed.
Check before starting:
Open the main switch, no load test a few laps, to confirm the safety and correct before allowed to start.
Cutting operation:
Use a lever or button to start the cutter, keeping your hands away from the cutting area.
Adjust the cutting speed and depth according to the need, and stably control the cutting machine to cut.
During the cutting process, keep your concentration, do not leave the working area of the cutting machine, and keep your concentration at any time.
Exception handling:
If you find an abnormal situation, such as wood stuck or the cutting blade damaged, stop the cutting machine immediately, disconnect the power supply, and seek professional help.
Third, post-operation processing
Shutdown and cleanup:
After cutting is complete, turn off the main power switch and wait for the cutting blade to stop rotating completely before moving the cutting material.
Clean the work area, including wood chips and dust from wood cutting, to prevent blocking passageways or starting fires.
Equipment maintenance:
Regularly check the cutting machine power cord, protection device and blade wear, timely replacement and repair.
When cleaning and maintaining the cutting machine, be sure to disconnect the power supply first and wait for the cutting blade to stop rotating completely.
Fourth, other precautions
Non-professional personnel are prohibited to operate:
The cutting machine is only operated by professional personnel, and unauthorized personnel are forbidden to operate.
Safe distance:
When cutting, the operator should stand on one side of the saw blade, the body oblique side is 45 degrees, and avoid standing on the front of the saw blade or the same straight line.
The arm should not cross the saw blade, and the hand should not be placed within 15 cm of the saw blade.
Fire and explosion prevention:
Cutting machine use site should not be flammable, explosive gas and articles.
Equipment storage:
When not in use, the cutting machine should be stored in a dry, ventilated and safe place to avoid moisture or damage.
By following the above safe operating procedures, you can minimize the safety risks in the wood cutting process and ensure the life safety and production efficiency of the operator.
